An advance directive can identify who's the best person to make medical decisions about your medical care when you can no longer make them. It can also identify the key values and beliefs you want to guide those decisions. An accident, a fall, or a serious illness can happen to anyone of any age at any time. Every adult 18 years and older should have an advance directive as a way to communicate your values and medical priorities to physicians and loved ones regarding life threatening medical decisions when you cannot speak for yourself.
Join us as Dr. John Kilner provides biblical teaching on end of life medical care to help guide the priorities you include in an advance directive. Dr. Kilner will also share a free, online resource that helps individuals design a personalized advance directive or a statement of their treatment preferences.
